Szymon Bęczkowski

Who am I?

I am a researcher working on power electronics. I studied electrical engineering at Warsaw University of Technology. I did my PhD at Aalborg University, where I currently work as an associate professor. I mostly focus on power converters and power modules.

As a group, we research high power and high voltage power electronics, such as medium-voltage SiC technology. We also investigate digital techniques within the field of power electronics.

What do I like?

Observing sheep.

In my free time, I am contributing to OpenStreetMap.

I am a strong proponent of modern open-source tools.

Julia is my beloved programming language. I waited many years for LaTeX3 to arrive, finally materialising as Typst. This website is built with Quarto.
